WildFlowers Australia Farm Visit: New South Wales

The Farm Visit: NSW will be held in the Southern Tablelands at the farm of Derek and Sus Bush.  Derek and Sus established Bush Roses in 1984 where they predominantly grew roses for cut flowers. In 2018, an infestation of western flower thrips drove them to diversity into Australian natives.  Five years down the track they have a sizeable plantation of wildflowers grown in the field, in greenhouses, in soil and hydroponically.  Peter Ollerenshaw, an expert in propagation and botanic gardens, has been an integral part of Derek and Sus’s diversification, helping them decide what to grow where.  He will provide a talk on his general experiences in horticulture and specific examples of the background to some of the plants on Sus and Derek’s farm.

Registration is scheduled to open in late August.
