Walking on the Wildside is WildFlowers Australia’s popular event that focuses on florists, floral designers and floristry students and shows off the beauty of wildflowers in floral designs. The event includes both a Floral Demonstration open to all and a limited-space Floral Workshop. It will be spring in Western Australia, the time of year when wildflowers will be blooming in all their glory. This will be in full display in the premium quality Australian and South African wildflowers and foliages you will see, including rare and unusual products.

Bess Scott
Bess grew up on a flower farm on the NSW Central Coast surrounded by the Australian bush and stunning native varieties that her grandfather and father grew. She has worked in floristry for 15 years in Sydney and London, and it was working solely with European flowers in London that solidified her deep, inherited respect and appreciation for Australian natives. On returning to Australia she made it her mission to share them and foster that appreciation with others.
Bess opened her shop, BESS Paddington, in 2018 to elevate Australian native wildflowers within the heart of the local community. The shop sets itself apart from other florists by focusing on the wild and truly unique beauty of Australian wildflowers. Bess feels lucky to be the 5th generation in her family involved in the flower industry and stands on the shoulders of her father Craig who is a pioneer in the native flower industry.
We owe great thanks to our Walking on the Wildside sponsors: East Coast Wildflowers, Wafex and Tesselaar Flowers and Apack.
